Sucks losing your rp partner to someone new and fresh and more fun to write with

I miss the days where my tags were the ones they'd drop everything to hit back but I guess nothing good lasts forever

It hurts and I wish them the best but I'm petty and it's hard not being their favorite anymore when I was for so long

Can anyone who's been in the same boat offer me any advice for getting over it? I can't believe how much it's killed my drive to rp and it's been costing me sleep too

i'm in the same boat, and we have two options: stew in it and obsess and get bitter and let it color everything you do here from now on until you're irrationally mad at all the wrong people or you become wankgate's new star, or you can keep your perspective and realize that, even though it hurts, it's just another dumb flake who caught feelings for a new ship/canon/person/whatever. it really sucks, especially when they made you feel so talented and wonderful, but understand that it's not a failing on your part. some people do this. it's part of the price of admission on dwrp.

for actual advice, unfollow them/mute their gush plurks if they make you sad. tag out on memes and tdms, especially tfln since that's a good place to get easy, fun rp. the best thing you can do for yourself is find new people. don't chase the glow you got from one person who obsessively patted your ass, because most of us don't do that, but spend some time doing stuff for yourself. look in the rec thread in this post and find new stuff to get into. try the multiple threads rpanonmod puts up in every post if you're looking for a game or a cast or a specific ship/kink to play out. hell, if you're interested in any of the canon that's hot right now, that's instant cr/castmates! sure, you might need to take some time to find reliable partners, but the important thing is that you're spending your energy on you and not wallowing over this one person.

be sad, feel burned, but please start doing things for yourself. you deserve fun psls and reliable cr.

my favorite superhero show ever made. i love how their powers are based on something related to each person in one way or another. it makes for some really creative, though sometimes seemingly hilariously useless, powers. and sometimes it ends up in upsetting and/or heartbreaking powers if you take a moment to think about them.

great, great show.

be warned, you might lose interest around season 3 or so, but that's still two solid seasons of a damn good show about bad people.

i adored this show. and yeah, once nathan leave, it kind of goes downhill from there, but during its high points, it was an amazing series. i'd heard rumbled rumors of it being remade in the us and i'd be tempted to watch it. some of the uk to us versions are great (shameless, qaf), some not so great (being human), but i'd like to see where this would fall.

i've been there before, anon! complete with losing sleep and other emotional turmoil. it absolutely sucks, and while yeah you do gotta work on getting over it, don't be too hard on yourself for feeling bummed.

what i did was get into a variety of new things! hobbies, fiction, video games, music, whatever. discovering new, fun things that i could enjoy by myself/with people who aren't That Person helped to give me distance and perspective while also distracting me from feeling cruddy and jealous until, eventually, i wasn't bothered anymore. all like, yeah that rp i did with so-and-so was super great, but there's also tons of other awesome stuff/other people out there too! for me, since rp was (and still is) one of my main hobbies, i also found new characters to pick up while doing this, which helped to bring back my rp drive and led to me finding new games to play in and new people to thread with.

you'll adjust in time! which can be hard to hear while going through a rough spot, but it's true. the trick is just getting to that point by making the conscious effort to not dwell on what used to be. not saying it'll be easy at first or that there won't be shitty days, but eventually you'll move on and be much happier for it.

I don't get that mindset. Unless you know that OP's rp partner was only around for a few days, and that they continually change fandoms, you shouldn't be calling them a flake. Nobody is automatically "a flake" just because they stop rping something that doesn't interest them anymore.

Maybe OP's rp partner was a reliable partner all along. They are still allowed to move on to something new.

What bothers me about that anon is that they don't use on-model/off-model correctly, they just say off-model to describe anytime they think the show looks ugly. Which, okay, if you don't like how the show looks that's one thing. But it's not some terrible shadow over the quality name of cartoon network that it's ugly.

man, i agree, but unless it's a very small company that isn't actually a decision made by the interviewers or hiring managers, who are the ones who have to deal with the lying idiots. it requires an allocation of resources on an organizational level, so it's a lot harder to push through.

if the're doing payroll, they probably started in something like clerical and took on the responsibilities over time/got an internal promotion. half the payroll people in the company i work for aren't accountants and weren't hired for accounting, they're just competent with the software and transitioned from somewhere else.

I dunno, it's better to think of it that way as something flippant instead of taking it as someone taking a huge offense against you and deliberately trying to move away, because 90% of the time it isn't. It can help to remember that you probably didn't do anything specifically "wrong".

I find myself struggling to come up with varying ways to describe female orgasms. I've looked at a few things I've written and almost invariably I end up using "Fireworks racing through her nerves" and "a gush/spray of fluids" coupled with trembling bodies, muscles tensing, and toes curling.
