I love cyborgs, but they can be hard to find PBs for unless you go with one that looks like a normal human all the time. Exxis is a character I've had under my belt for years but never did anything with because of that, but I'm planning to commission icons for him soon, so I figured why not make the journal and finish writing up his information while I keep searching for the right artist and style.

Reminds me of how me and some friends played in a setting based on a game series that's big on crossovers. We incorporated some canons not yet featured in the series into our own game, and not long after another title was announced with some of those canons in it.

It was great.

Oh yeah, definitely! The only option I can think of is finding one from an existing movie or TV show and hope they're obscure enough that they probably wouldn't be app'd (that's what I did with this gal when I played her temporarily for an event at the game I'm in). I lucked out with commissions and gift art I got for Rey (the journal I'm using right now) over the years because I couldn't find a proper PB that worked for me.

I have a whole line up of obscure actors and b-rated movies that I hope no one else pays attention, so I definitely feel you there. Not finding a good PB is the bane of any OC player. Rey's look is really intriguing though, I can never say no to characters with visible scars/marks. :Db

a young, idealistic, prettyboy politician gets blackmailed into performing a series of increasingly sexual acts for his blackmailer. he starts out resistant and (if m/m) aggressively hetero, but as time goes on, he starts getting into it.

prefer to play the politician and am open to m/m or femdomme-y f/m. preferably would like to play an iconless OC against another OC, but i'm open to anything. leave a sock if you're interested!

I'm planning on picking her up from the anime over the game canon, but usernames based off the games are totally... game! Puns are loved, but please, no usernames with underscores.

regardless of how well the player might have pidge's voice down, i won't tag them. pidge is a girl. she says she's a girl. the creators say she's a girl. if the player is ignoring that just because they feel like it or to project onto the character or for social justice points, no thanks. i don't have time for that.

it's the fucked up view of gender that's endemic in this fandom.

a character explicitly states she's a girl, but because she continues to have short hair and wear boyish clothing, she must be genderfluid or nb? that's crazy offensive and i was hoping the fandom would grow out of it.

ime what shiros have trouble balancing is his compassionate side with his responsible side. too involved and you go into dad mode (which doesn't bother me personally but seems like it bothered a lot of people). too plot focused and you fall down the rabbithole of making him the leader/protagonist, which is definitely annoying to tag when shiro's almost the one who's most focused on voltron as a team. i read him as leading because he was semi-pushed into that role, the others simply don't want to deal with that yet. he's responsible but he's not a hero.

the biggest pitfall i've found for shiros is that they're boring. they put no hooks into their tags and they expect me to bring the conflict and punchlines even if they tag me. this may somewhat be because shiro's easy to get along with as a character but that's rp 101. find some quirks and what you like about him and play to those strengths.

and don't worry about ships at all.

if you want to be able to strictly control the number of threads you have and the time you devote to the threads, psls are the way to go. i've stared almost all of mine through rpanons, actually, via either the kinks you wanna play thread or the rp with me thread. just throw up a prompt or respond to some other peoples' prompts and see what sticks

word of warning, though, as in all other areas of dw, there are a lot of flaky people out there, so don't be discouraged if you give it a few shots and nothing seems to immediately go through
