I am smh so damn hard at all this manufactured nonexistent drama but keeping my fucking mouth shut and not even bothering to engage.

And I'm someone who mildly hates Matt Damon and has been frequently told to go back to tumblr.

I haven't been all that active recently due to RL (had to drop my games), but saw the roll call and I really liked all the others OCs others shared, so I figured why not. Never too much OC love going around.

been feeling really down about rp but I posted on a test drive on a whim and am having so much more fun than I expected that it's really turned my mood around

what good rp things have happened to you lately anons?

After arguing for four months as a way of flirting, my character and another finally made out due to a game event. They almost had sex, but the resulting fail instead was much more entertaining. They'll get there eventually, but the journey is proving to be a hell of a fun ride.

Joined a new game this month that has done wonders for my rp drive.

I mean, I can't blame asian-americans for jumping the gun, and there is a very noted disconnect between Chinese people and American-born Chinese when it comes to perception of themselves in popular culture, because naturally those who live in China are able to see a lot of themselves in media and asian-americans simply aren't. Even with the explanations and reasoning in mind, it's still a nuanced situation with totally understandable misgivings.

where do people rp if they haven't the time to join a game? I haven't rped in a long time and I've recently felt like having something small, like a thread or two, I can manage around my work, but it seems like every meme comm is full of posts without much happening in them, even if they also have many memes a day, and I feel like I don't know how rp culture works now. Is there somewhere else people look for just light, casual rp?

it's pretty much either games or bakerstreet. there are other meme comms out there, but they seem to be made up of smaller groups of mostly friends, and it can be a crap shoot as to whether you fit in with them or not. if you want something casual, your best bet is to find a sandbox game that has a very low ac and little in the way of plot. or just tag out in memes. i know it looks like a ghost town with not much happening, but as someone that follows through and finishes all my threads on there, there are others like me out there. it's just hit and miss as to whether you can get them.

I'd check out nexus crossings. I've been messing around in there from time to time, and the people there are fairly responsive.

slow games. there are games out there with very simple activity checks or even just check-ins. the trick is to find a slow paced game, probably small, and just go from there.

I have a couple of PSL partners that I've found by rping in memes and from one of those "psl finder" and "musemostwanted" memes. It's just very hit and miss whether the right person shows up.

i know murder games are meant to be short-run, but how long will this one go for? i'm glad everyone looks like they're having fun here, but i wanna know how long i have to wait for my castmates to come back.

you're not claiming the art as your own, you're not using it for commercial purposes, you're crediting the original source which is located publicly on the internet. unless it's a commissioned piece someone else paid for there's nothing else you need to do.

it doesn't hurt to ask first (especially for non-western artists since they can be much more touchy about how their art is reused) but i think fanartists generally tend to care a lot more about people reposting their art wholesale without credit on highly visible sites like tumblr than someone using a tiny cropped version of it on a niche site with credit
