you should definitely ask. but of course, most people don't care about all the time and effort fanartists put into their work, so you usually won't see credit on fanart icons, let alone people asking for permission.

also i think it's weird to use fanart as a PB, and not acceptable to use someone else's OC as a PB for your OC.

most people will tell you to ask for permission before using it.

but honestly i just give credit and i've never run into any problems with it.

eesh, thanks for letting us know. I feel bad for head mod, but when they're anonymous we don't know that something major like surgery is happening and can wish them well and hope they're okay.

Don't worry about it, nonnie! There's nothing wrong with asking questions.

If it makes you feel better to credit the fanartist and ask them for permission first, then there's nothing wrong with doing so, but, as far as I know, no one will really eat you alive if you don't, so long as you don't try to claim that you drew the artwork yourself.

And, as far as I know, nothing changes if you want to use video game or comic book fanart for an OC. The same rules apply!

i just put a url to the original artist's pixiv/website as the source on my icons page.

i don't feel comfortable using fan art icons unless i for sure know the source.

the bloody bones were great until they stopped being an unknown menace and started trolling on the network. then they were just irritating and stupid.

When the BBs first showed up, I thought they were going to be a temporary foe that players would defeat within a couple months, and that probably would have been cool. Seemed like some of the mods got too attached to the concept and ran too far with it, and they ended up being yet another mysterious untouchable superpower.

i wasn't much of a fan of the head villain laughing all sinister-like to himself in a chair trope so genm is super refreshing for me. actually feels like they're fighting against someone. and i'd never imagine gaming/doctors would ever go hand in hand one day but they sure made it mesh??

but i'm happy you're also enjoying the show anon! i know some people have qualms with it but each ep is making me cling to the edge of my seat

anons, i wanted to ask you- if you're in a game, how long to do you still tag back threads even after you've completely lost interest in them? or, how long do you tag a thread before dropping it, especially if you've lost interest?

not sure why that's so horrible. most of us don't want to intermingle politics with pretendy funtimes, especially when we're blasted with it 24/7.
