Those are all really good points, actually, and running a game more traditionally probably would be closer to my range of ability. Hmm. Thanks for the input, I actually think I have a better idea of how to run it with those things in mind.

Glad I could help! I'd also rec checking out Haibane Renmei if you're thinking a more traditional game.

It's reasonably similar: dead people end up in a town, have to reach some emotional development, vanish. There's some major differences, but it's kinda like a functioning as intended version of the Angel Beats afterlife. Even if you keep the game mostly Angel Beats watching Haibane Renmei might give you some ideas on how to sustain the game long term.

when I was in college, the cumulative stress of both my degree and coming out to my family (who weren't best accepting of the news at the time) drove me to have some kind of weird mental break. I hardly slept at night, I was self-harming and idealizing suicide, and I withdrew myself from a majority of my social circles. my work suffered, and I started skipping classes, sleeping through lectures and missing deadlines.

stupidly, I was too scared and ashamed to get help. but the mental health care in my region is total piss, and when you're in THAT bad a place that you're not functioning properly day to day, the very justified worry about the hoops you'll have to jump through to try and get help for yourself makes it daunting to take those steps, especially when the singular time you DO plurk up the courage to email an independently-practicing therapist, you don't hear back after their first email.

I almost got myself kicked out of college. I did get my degree in the end, but I still carry so much embarrassment and regret for the way I acted back then, and the fact I caused aggro for my tutors and couldn't reach my full potential. but it hurts that ex classmates and tutors think I was willfully slacking, and when I try to explain that I was sick, people react with skepticism since I was never formally diagnosed or counselled. it's exasperating when people ask why I didn't seek help. friend, you have NO idea how badly I wanted to.

Is there a way or an extension to block replurks? I have a castmate I want to keep on my timeline but she's in 4 other games and replurks every single mod plurk for all of them and I'm getting close to unfollowing just to avoid having to play whack-a-mole with the mute button every day. I just got Plurk Savior, but when I tried to add the keyword "replurks" to mute and hide them it did exactly nothing.
