Firm believer in the 'whoever gets cooked for washes the dishes after'.

omg you just reminded me about a roommate i had who would tell me she was a firm believer in "whoever makes a mess in the kitchen has to clean it up."

i mean, it makes sense when you cook for yourself or for people who are unable to do dishes (children, people with disabilities), but i'm not your fucking mom and your "belief" doesn't trump mine. you're a fucking adult college student!

so she would get butthurt when i wouldn't make her food AND clean up the mess afterwards. if i had leftovers, she'd always sneak some and it was always obvious as fuck. http://16391-presscdn-0-53.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/spaghetti-to-frittata.jpg there would be a chunk missing out of the container like this and she would always try to convince me "maybe you ate some and don't remember." somehow it stopped when a relative let me borrow their mini fridge, hmmmmmmm...

i was a pretty good cook while she was pretty much an expert on making ramen/spaghetti and microwave food. so her cooking didn't involve dirtying very many dishes and she would beg for me to feed her a lot. the first few times i fed her, it was at times when she legitimately wouldn't have time to do dishes like before she went to work or class, so i put up with it because it would be rude to make somebody miss work/class. but then i cooked her dinner for the first time and she tried to tell me she wanted to go to sleep early when THE WHOLE TIME during dinner she was talking about how she wanted to play video games for a few hours. i MADE her lazy ass do dishes that night, and she whined about it later that night to one of her friends over the phone. i'm such a bitch, anon. :(

she was the type who was very fucking spoiled by her mom but would cry "abuse!" when she was told to take the garbage out. i suspected it even before i met her mom but her mom told me this and the roommate confirmed it for me when i got sick once. i was bedridden and could barely even eat but taking the garbage out was one of my chores. i asked her if she could do it for me while i was sick because it was hard enough for me to clean up my own puke when i was up and about and couldn't make it to a bucket/toilet and i wanted to minimize that happening whenever possible. you know what she did? she cried to plurk about it in a private plurk. apparently i "make her do all the chores", she was "tired of all the blatant abuse", i would "guilt trip her and call her names when she didn't do chores" and she even lied and told plurk that i made her clean up my puke when the was a load of fucking bullshit! she's one of those people who feels nauseous at the sight of her own bodily fluids so this made my "abuse" even worse. i'm surprised she even took the garbage out too.

needless to say, mutual plurk friends of ours who also knew how fucking lazy and spoiled she was told me pretty quickly. i didn't stay with her much longer after that because she would make up more bs lies about me to make me seem like The Worst Roommate Ever. when her plurk friends who didn't know me at all suggested that she move out or kick me out, she would give them the excuse that she can't afford to live on her own so she would just have to "put up" with the "abuse."

when i moved out, you can bet your ass that they all cried about what a mean (and abusive!!!!!!!) person i was for doing so because then she would have to beg her mom for help with rent until she could find a new roommate. and the kicker? she didn't even pay for 99% of her bills, her mom paid it all for her.

i'm sure the only people who knew that her mom paid for her bills were me and maybe her closest friends, but she had everyone else under the impression that she was working during school because her "abusive" mom barely helped with anything. in reality, she spent most of her money on paids, video games, useless video game dlc, expensive anime merch, cosplay shit, fast food, and other shit that she didn't need. her mom even gave her money for groceries and an extra $20-30 for the laundromat every month.

she even ranted to me multiple times about how her mom was a "huge cunt" because she would give my roommate money to pay real bills but not an allowance/entertainment budget.
