have any of the events? it seems pretty clear to me that progress = opening up more of the map through puzzles, events = backstory reveals/clues.

I'm the +1 anon directly below you and to be completely fair, what we got in this event was narrative progress. It wasn't completely new because people have expected it, but this is the first time the suspicions have been 100% confirmed and we saw how everything played out.

If we want new narratives from here on, we should start working on unlocking more areas so we can get their backstories.

This. I understand why people would assume otherwise at first, most games in DWRP progress through events, but from the start it's always been apparent to me that the progress in this game comes from the characters expanding the map while the event fill in the backstory blanks.

the problem with that is that we have a limited amount of time for map progress and we're already behind bc of slow search requests.

the narrative events are preventing us from map progress. we lost three ic days for this one, 9 ooc days.

i'd be cool with more backstory if it wasn't helping us fail better
