Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

this is honestly a good suggestion, although it doesn't have to be robotics. at least for some time to come, there will always be a need for people who can work skilled jobs. if you put in the time and money to learn a particular skill or get technical training in a field, you can do incredibly well. one of my high school classmates never went to college but instead went on to a technical school to become a certified mechanic and now he makes enough to be able to support his wife and two kids on what he earns as a mechanic. another classmate learned how to do floral arranging and now she's a florist who does all sorts of flower arrangements for weddings and stuff and makes big bucks on it. that kind of thing can't be automated and probably won't be automated for quite a while.

i was looking into commercial drone operation, seeing that will be a viable job market. at least i'll get myself one that doesn't require me to sign up with the faa to get used to it. so much that can be done with that, and they look like loads of fun too.
