This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. what would you think of a cr meme for bakerstreet? nothing fancy, just "character types that click well with X" and "my favorite canonpoints and memes" or somesuch. mostly i figure this would help with cross-canon threading on memes. i've seen some comments that people want to tag around but are canon-unfamiliar, or otherwise don't know what the other person's looking for in a thread. thoughts?

i'd like that, though realistically it's got good chances of flopping... still, worth a shot! just as long as you have people actually write stuff in their top levels.

If it's populated by serial musedumpers who miss the point of the meme, then we'll see countless empty toplevels again. Another possible reason for it to not do well is if known turnoffs (onewithwater, lasthungrywolf, etc) are the only people in it/slam into the post early.

I do hope such a meme can take off. Some of the characters I see appear interesting, but I'm not hip with newer canons and a quick blurb could help with deciding what character or scenario is likely to make a good thread for them.

If it's not your top level that goes unnoticed, why should you care about "countless empty toplevels again"?

You don't need to monitor other people's success in memes or worry about who posts there first.

oh, you misunderstood. i mean like the cr memes that you see in games. no threading expected, just a form to fill out for ooc ice-breaking. like the psl section on EMP but differently organized.

right, no, i got that! what i meant was yeag, making the top levelers fill out the form instead of leaving blank comments and waiting for people to flock to them with 'omg bby tell me about your character'.
