Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Actually, I originally had a magical sort of printing press to stand in for the alternative network but wound up scrapping the idea in the favor of the magestone. I can certainly bring it back in a more mundane form to serve as an additional tool for getting info out via newspaper. I'll probably toss some info on the network page to this effect.

Right now, I think I'm shooting for a test drive around January 6th, with apps opening either towards the middle or end of the month depending on how much stuff I have left to throw together. I'll have a better idea of exact dates after the TD.

The magestones make a lot more sense for alternative information, honestly. Newspapers only jumped out because of the potential of additional constant propaganda.

Oh boy, that's a short amount of time. I'll keep an eye out, for sure, and in the mean time contemplate potential characters to app in.

Is there any more help that you need, or is constant questioning the best for now?

I was debating on putting up an AU plotting post so people have time to get to know each other and plan before hitting the TD. Pretty quick to put together and I can do that soon so people have a little breathing room before the TD proper, if that helps any.

Other than that I'd say things are about 80% done, I just have a few standard pages left (taken, contact, etc.) and aforementioned world and NPC work. I appreciate your input a lot! (And feel free to keep bringing on the questions, it's a slow day on my end.)

I've found that that kind of character creation post is really helpful, as it can help flesh out ideas and build potential CR if folks would like to opt into that. I'd vote yes, especially as world details that might need to be filled in might arise and you can address them before the game proper starts.

Same anon, something that just struck me. Is there any kind of religion in this universe, or is it really not a factor?

Religion is a pretty big deal in Ehre (eastern territory) and not much for anywhere else. The Empire utilizes a lot of melodramatic religious symbolism in its architecture and venerates its heroes like gods but is generally agnostic on the whole.

Ehre is monotheistic and dominated by a form of pseudo-Christianity very similar to what we have in the real world. An all powerful God figure exists, though Jesus Christ is more of a vague concept than an actual person, sort of a hybrid with the Holy Spirit idea.

This is a good FAQ question, so I will add it!

Oh, yeah, that's def. info that's gotta get on the FAQ then. Would it make sense to have a little "about the culture" section to cover this + other details too?

Culture is largely one dull gray monolith on the Continent - not too exciting due to its oppressive political environment but can have a little variation by region. When I expand upon the world page I'll probably add more about this and some smaller locations to spice things up.
