All the pretty little anons

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

Right? And what makes the situation more annoying is the fact that the black market has had a history of being on top of the heap with little participation from the very members/players who are bitching

Entitlement much? I hope the mods shut them down when they actually have the balls to say something outside of whiny plurks

idk, maybe part of the issue is that the BM's leadership is all NPC, but they actively encourage their members to participate in enterprise, yet none of the players... do anything.

the mods are basically handing them shit on a platter. adfontes is off the market? make an alternative! pet trade, organ trade, the mods have to have NPCs handle everything because none of the actual players in the BM do anything with these plot threads.

I think part of the issue is also that some characters in the bm don't want negative CR, so they won't risk their character being caught/their allegiance revealed (which is a whole different issue with many characters aligned with certain factions and not taking consequences for that involvement), and that a lot of characters in it aren't the sort to capitalize on the sort of things the black market is historically into.

It doesn't help that Leandro feels a lot more hands off than previous black market npcs were, though that could also be on players for not reaching out for more connections with npcs. More pcs in positions of power would help a lot I think.

it's so stupid to have a character in the black market and not expect negative cr. it's like they want their edgelord fix but are too much of a baby to go through with what would be perfectly ic consequences.

DA but if the problem with the BM plotting being staid is because nobody wants to go through with something that will make their character look mean, that is 100% on them.

you don't need pcs in power positions because the black market doesn't need to just give marching orders for shit to happen. people need to be proactive and make their own plots.

for fuck's sake, like another anon said, there's a non-bm group of characters who are doing significantly more criminal plotting than any bm character is right now, and no one needed to tell them to do it, pc or otherwise.
