I'm glad that some players were finally allowed to affect something but October's event feels a bit... bland.

i am sorry you feel that way anon. i'm really excited for the event myself, it's the first genuinely interesting event that i've been into in almost a year

what would improve it for you?

DA but for me a good event gives you a chance to make new CR as well as to build up on the CR your character already has.

This event fails on the first for me because there is no real reason for character A to care about the ghost of character B if they don't already know each other, and most characters are way more likely to confess their regrets to make the ghost go away to somebody who is already a friend rather than to a stranger. The ghosts also don't really do anything but float and stare, which won't impress every character enough to spur them ICly into action either.

It's most likely aimed to be psychological horror which is always a good change from the usual gore, but overall there is very little substance to drag out for an event that is meant to go on for two weeks. It also feels a little too similar to the Glass Witch plot earlier this year for me, but ymmw.

Op here, but yeah, the fact that they explicitly do absolutely nothing that kills it for me.

I've got a character that shrugs and admits its weird but this is just like a Tuesday in Ryslig, why should he care. I'd like it a lot more of the ghosts were actively haunting them.

It is pretty shamelessly cribbed from the Glass Witch plot, yeah. But Ryslig's mods have always had a tendency to recycle plot ideas, since creativity's not their strong point.

At least it's not yet another plot that causes additional physical changes and/or compels us to kill.

didn't someone put forward a wild hunt plot a while ago? what happened with that?
