Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Sex-dynamics wise I play switches because I enjoy playing both sides (I play a lot of m/m, but I also play m/f on both sides and a little f/f too, and this applies across the board).

Personality-wise I tend to play the sexually/romantically aggressive characters. I'm drawn to characters who are sexual and characters who are easily attracted to people, or characters who harbor a one-sided attraction, in canon or in-game. I also love playing the comfort side of hurt/comfort, the partner who spoils the hell out of their lover, and the outgoing types who drag the taciturn, reserved characters out of their shells (whether for friendship or romance).

I gravitate this way just because it's what's fun for me. If I had to analyze myself about it, I'd say that charitably, IRL I also love offering people affection and making them feel happy, so I have fun doing it in RP too with CR I like. Uncharitably, I'd say I probably also enjoy the sense of power and being "special" that comes with playing, for example, one of the few characters a prickly dickhead character will smile at or open up to, or in smut, the only person who can make them lose control. I mostly don't get possessive or weird over it, but there's like 5% of me that always wants to be the one the grumpy character loves best and most.
