All the pretty little anons

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

it might help to start planning arrive kind of fun activities to do together. that way she doesn't feel so alone, but you're doing more than listening to her vent. this is easier if you're irl friends than online friends, but there's still things you can do together over the internet. for example: a few years ago i had a friend who was in a really bad place mental health wise, so i started livestreaming a shit ton of anime for her. it didn't fix her problems, but it gave her a distraction, and she appreciated me setting stuff up specifically for her. this won't solve your friend's problems either, but watching shows/playing games/sharing weird internet shit together could give you both a mental break.

this is a great idea. i did this for a friend of mine as well -- he was just starting to get into anime so i showed him some of my faves, just for him, and not only did it give him an amazing distraction (seriously, he was almost a totally different person when he got into watching stuff) but now that it's been a few years and he's in a better place, i can see it strengthened our friendship a lot by doing things like that.
