All the pretty little anons

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

invest in plasticwear and food storage, then. don't throw out the food you don't eat, you fucking moron. don't turn up your nose at having fucking leftovers, that's how you save your money.

Freezing food doesn't take away the fact that a single person has to eat more leftovers and less varied meals than someone who lives in a family (or one who eats a lot). It gets boring.

And yes, you can argue that people in developing countries don't have any of the luxuries we have. I know.

oh boo fucking hoo, "it gets boring"

cry more. I have zero sympathy for that argument.

food is for sustenance, not entertainment. this is how people get fat. they treat food as entertainment, rather than just a way to keep alive.

ayrt

and, like, i'm not even saying it's one or the other, if you have the time and money to treat yourself to something unique or awesome, do so, but when we're talking day to day meal planning, you don't need to have a different dish for every meal every fucking day, that's absurd.

you're going to eat left overs. sometimes it'll be for more than one meal. that's fucking reality, and don't cry about how that's "boring", because in the real world of managing a budget with your food needs, that's how life works out.

da, +1

leftovers, for me, mean a day I don't have to stress about cooking. just reheat and eat and focus on something else.

anon whining about it being boring must be privileged as shit.

so make a thing, freeze it, then make a new thing the next day. food in the freezer keeps, anon. you don't have to have it the next day. one and done is not something that should apply to food. so make a huge pot of stew/soup, freeze it, and have it once a week or once a month if you want, but as someone that struggles with their budget to even have food? wow, your elitism here isn't winning you any points. you have food. you can even have a variety of food. you just want what you want when you want it. which doesn't even make sense. "i want hamburger helper, but i ONLY want it this one day. i never want to eat it again." find ways to spice it up. have kd? make tuna casserole. or beef casserole. or chicken casserole. trust me, anon, you can find options.

Holllllly shit you fucking privileged little idiot

Learn how to cook, but mostly fresh ingredients (loose produce and meat from the butcher counter where you, god forbid, have to talk to someone). It's cheaper than the hamburger helper crap but then you'd complain about having to plan and cook a new meal every day wouldn't you???

If you want something new every day just buy TV dinners dumbass

but anooooooooooooon, then they can't bitch about how they're being persecuted against. they want those specific meals as single servings, not the plethora already available out there. how dare you expect them to cook or deal with what everyone else already does. they are the specialist snowflake in the blizzard.
