putin fancies himself an anti-fascist, irony of ironies, and would never legitimately support a candidate like trump. that's just how things actually are in the real world.

common threat? yes. but only common when frequently actually means every week or once a month for more than half your lease term. if you're serious and they're claiming 2 visits is frequent, then that's some bullshit reasoning, but shitty landlords will commonly use bullshit reasoning to try to bully shitty tenants. that part isn't unusual.

wish there was smth in between a meme and a game in terms of commitment. like dressing rooms were good for that bc u had an actual setting and continuity but it was low pressure/low commitment like memes.

i know dressing rooms have been out of style for 1 million years but i wonder if someone (probably me) could get an "appless/open game" kind of thing off the ground??? like there'd be a setting and a plot and events just like a game, but no apps, people can just jump in and jump back out as they please.

other than this year, we had the police over once before 4+ years ago when we had a fire.

i didn't mention it in the op but the only times we've had the police over had nothing to do with actual crime.

I choose to believe that anon is not this stupid, but is instead using this particular tic in the way that some players try to write their characters' dialects. For what reason? Fun and trolling I guess???

Things to keep in mind:

Don't half-ass the opening. Put as much effort into building the dressing room's foundations as you would a game.

Pre-plan a few months of events, and commit to polishing them when posting them. Treat them like you would post a test drive meme or a bakerstreet meme. Give people a good excuse to be there.

Consider allowing people to comment to an equivalent of a 'taken' page in order to post, so that players have a general idea of who is around, and so that players feel more connection to the DR and other players. Giving some structure here is what elevates the DR from a whimsical meme that people can spam with characters and never tag out in.

In short, build a game but consider alternatives that allow self-monitoring and maintenance, and provide the framework that players can use to generate and roll with CR. Don't post half-finished things or anything that you would scoff at if you saw it in a game, keep it tight.

The only reason I can see Putin liking Trump in office is because it thoroughly weakens the american government's reputation, giving him a reason to apply some brute force payback for the cold war business he got powerful from.

among other things. he stands to gain a lot from a trump presidency, and none of it is to trump's actual benefit.
