rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i tagged someone in a meme once! i even asked if they would like to play and they said yes! so i wrote them a starter!

and then they never commented again. not just in reply to me, but like, ANYWHERE.

there's a 100% chance it has very little to do with you and a lot more "i'm not feeling this character."

there was one with less than 20 comments so i can totally buy that with them! sad though as they were the one i was more interested and excited to play with.

the other one may be a case of rl happening but their account had a ton of comments on it so it probably isn't a case of not feeling the character

still i'm a little self-conscious about the fact that i was the last person to tag these two right before they up and stopped, some real anti-midas shit right here. maybe you guys should suggest me people you don't like to tag, i might make them disappear from DW RP.

possibly? i have someone that keeps tagging me and i've dropped every thread. i'm excited every time, i enjoy the character, and there's potential with their starters or mine but every single time they are the dullest piece of dirt i've ever dealt with. no introspection, dialog is minimal, and there's barely any actions or gestures. they ignore any and all of my hooks (questions, extreme movements, changing to different settings, whatever). this is an extreme case but there are others i feel the same about who aren't like pulling teeth.

sometimes i just don't have fun with people. all writing doesn't have to be great, but a lot of people who i get tags from think they're good or are popular in their games but are really boring as hell and just play the right character and have the right friends.

check your shit, make sure there's something to reply to and its relevant to the meme, and if all else fails just don't tag that person. some really won't ever tag back even if you're literally a really good writer that's fun to play with. some will do it for minor dumb reasons and some will do it because they're full of themselves. some people just are lazy or caught up in games or friends. don't use it as an excuse to blame it on the other player and try to re-evaluate and re-energize your own writing. it sucks if it's a rare canon mate or a friend playing the character but just shrug and move on. it can really eat you up if you start stressing over it, anon.

If they aren't commenting at all, chances are it's not related to you. It's not impossible, but no comments at all tends to imply they got busy with something else or just weren't feeling the meme or character anymore so they dropped everyone. If it was you, then the more likely result is only your thread would have been dropped at least one of the times.
