Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

see you say objectification but you mean it as women as a sexual object where as the actual objectification in that light was for the war boys. Not to mention dispite how bad the comics were, the wives lived in luxury and could actually clean and bathe themselves in water. They were, as he warned the others addicted to water. There's an argument to be had here if he was violent misogynist or not. but I would have to reread the comics and I don't want to.

but he saw the wives as his way of getting a healthy son to propgate a world that was slowly reviving in his aquacola area. They were objects to him in a way to get an end but not as something for pleasure. Out of all his "subjects" the only ones that came close to looking as healthy and clean as the wives were the warboys. And they still looked sickly.

... it's objectification regardless of whether or not it was sexual. The women were things. The warboys were things. You can be violently misogynistic (which he was, because when women who couldn't provide babies or milk were killed or left to rot at the bottom of the citadel with the invalids, which is a whole nother layer to his evil) and objectify the lives of your child soldiers at the same time.

like, what point are you trying to make here? that he can't be more than one kind of disgusting monster at once?

that you're an idiot because the word you were looking for isn't misogynistic or misandrastic because because it was closer to misanthropic but even that's not the correct word for what he did.

this is not an argument worth having when you're being a pedant over words and you're still getting it wrong.
