rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Depends on the language.

I'm ESL and already play with a couple friends in our native language since it's most comfortable for us. I have no interest in being someone's Rosetta Stone or whatever (again, it happened before) in RP though, like I wouldn't want to spend more time correcting someone's tag to me than actually playing with them. That just becomes an unpaid translator job.

would you play with a second-language rper if they didn't expect you to correct their mistakes for them?

I'd have no problem with that. And I wouldn't mind pointing out the occasional blatant mistake to help the person become more fluent, I just wouldn't want to proof every single tag.
