are you new to the games? honest question. getting screwed for not living where nintendo considers important has been a thing since gen one (in fact it used to be worse since ALL events were in person, gen iv made things a bit easier with wifi giveaways)

who knows if they wont try to bring in those elements again now that they actually have them in place

i really, really, really hated public bathrooms and avoided them at all costs until i was in my 20s

I think that just seeing you discuss it here has made me really understand how that kind of writing has affected my ability to tag sometimes. My rp partners live in different timezones and because we're not boomeranging, it's so easy to think "well, I'm going to write a lot to compensate the fact they only get one tag a day".

So basically what is supposed to be a way to further the story quickly becomes something that hinders it by making tagging difficult.

there's nothing wrong with representation, but purposely dodging white pbs and making the character's race the most important quality about them doesn't sit right with me. it just makes pocs seem like a giant bingo card you're trying desperately to fill for... what?

I was gonna reply to the one above me but it's so bad it deserves its own post.

I hated pooping. No idea why. Just one day in 3rd grade I apparently decided I was done with it, although I can't remember a conscious decision. So I would hold it in until I couldn't any more and would just end up shitting myself. One day I was trying so hard to hold it in that I ended up peeing myself after school while I was waiting for the bus and thankfully only a few other students saw it and I cried.

Don't remember how it stopped either. Now I poop like a normal person. I'm well adjusted, I swear.

I realized about a year or so ago that I used to do this diverging conversation thing a lot, and sometimes it led to really weird tags where the first part and the second part (or however many parts) would have radically different tones, or just flow really oddly. I've tried to limit my responses so there's only one thing to reply to at a time, even if it's no dialogue at all, just an action. It makes my tags shorter but the weird split doesn't happen as often.

writing while you're still thinking out tags like an rper is fun, let me tell you

I've seen a lot of people say that rping makes their writing better but I feel like in many ways it just makes my writing worse, it's true.

probably not. i haven't had this happen to me often, but when it has i ignore them and let them be pathetic alone

but it depends, i guess. how much is their wank actually affecting me? i may say something if we share a small fandom, game, or friend group, because that hits pretty close to home. but if we don't have much overlap anymore, i'm not being namedropped specifically, and they're not following me and trying to scare off my rp parters/warn mods about me because they have a butthurt grudge? i leave it alone

if they're somebody i had a falling out with, i'd comment with "hi x" to be a dick.

but otherwise ignore it.
