better than any other, really, if only because tranquility is a thing in-world that everyone (sans rifters) is aware of? there aren't any tranquil PCs right now, but i'm pretty sure the mods have said that they're appable.

a tranquil character would be a challenge to play, i think, because character development itself would be difficult, but if it's something you're interested in that you think you could pull off i say go for it! i'd love to play off a tranquil character and i think it'd be really fun to see how different characters would react and interact with them.

thanks for the response, anon. i have some similar concerns about character development, but i feel like asunder gave me a few things to work with in that regard, plus the tranquil you get to talk to at ostagar. just might have to do this thing.

the picture on your timeline will go in the existing code's timeline holder, and that code should look like:

background-position: top left;
border: 0px solid transparent;
}

height:50vh; is a percentage of the screen and you can change this to more or less as u do, and if you have a pattern image you'll want to keep repeat on; if it's a single solid image (say it fades to one side or the other) you'll set it as no-repeat; and the background position should lock to the opposite direction of the fade. if the image is focused on the bottom right and it's transparent up top / to the left, then bg-position: bottom-right; etc. set the color as whatever the background of the image is, though you won't really see this anyway unless your resolution is mclarge huge.

for your lower dash, it will be something like:

.plurk_cnt:not([class*="metro"]) {
background: transparent !important;
color: #COLORCODE;
}

and just remove anything that talks smack about an image url. and all that nonsense. if my layout code weren't heavily modified I would offer to share it with you, but you can even just slap these on top of a plurk basic layout and get what you want out of it (probably) if you like any of the basic color schemes. good luck!!

Agreed! They've once again given us, the players, a lot to work with and a lot to influence. One thing I love about Empatheias is that we're given the chance to write part of the story ourselves, as it were. To have an actual impact on the setting and crack the mysteries. I'm so glad the mods indulge us with these things.

Can anyone recommend some good free/cheap games that have actual story lines and character presence? I'm itching to play something that's more than just the usual match three type games that pass for casual. PC or ios games preferred.

Precisely! Canon characters can be apped as long as they are au'd to fit into this alternate timeline, and of course, to ensure that all players are on a slightly more even playing field, the current heads of the major houses are all NPC'd. Other than that, just about anything is fair game!

It is interesting that we generally exist in a space where people will ship anything with anything, create AU versions (this character as a high-schooler! this character if they succumbed to evil! this character as a pony!) and do gender/personality/sexuality swaps as game events or memes or whatever.

But transgender headcanons is where people draw the line and really get vicious about it.

While that's more a listing of free games with easy achievements, there's a bunch of visual novels on there that may be your cup of tea and some of them are even good.

And by cheap, what price range are you looking for? Under $1, under $5?

as the anon who ages ago suggested that the heads of the major houses and the king be npc'ed and was shot down by other anons as being "sooo unfaaaaiiir", i'm glad to see that the mods who actually stepped forward and put the game together did it this way. so many problems would have arisen from letting some players take those roles right off the bat.

Anon, I don't think anyone objected to having certain positions be NPC'd at the start, it was the possibility of the most powerful positions being permanently in the hands of NPCs that got some feathers ruffled.

I'm also a big fan of AU games. But the biggest problem I've had with them is people who think that AU means they can make the character as wildly out of character as they want because that's just the way they grew up in the AU. Which is annoying as hell.
