no, I meant the quoted statement is ironic and sign of a good troll, since nothing's more frustrating and, in turn, nets replies. the two statements of "here is ___" and "believes everyone who disagrees with them is the same person" creates that irony.

"generic," that is the exact word i was looking for! there's nothing about the character's voice that makes it identifiable as that character. if i looked at the tags and didn't know it was supposed to be that character, i wouldn't be able to tell. they understand the character but they need to work on the voice.

thanks, i think i'll do that! i don't know if i want to link examples from other players but i can point out some scenes from canon for sure. i think they could be good with the character if they can get the voice down, since their other characters aren't bad at all. it's just this one that they seem to be having voice problems with.

Also agreed on the cast cap and seconding memloss, but make it optional. Maybe even just make it so they remember their whole lives, but faces of people important to them are blurry/they can't identify any castmates present?

can anyone help me with a bit of plurk coding?

i want to add a picture to my plurk timeline but only my timeline and just have a flat colour for the rest of the layout. the code i have does the opposite for me and i'm not code savvy enough to figure out how to do it, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

idk, i don't think so, but then again i don't play any characters that are similar to one another because otherwise they get watered down and blur together. i need the contrast to keep the edges sharp.

i guess if someone's picking the same type a lot, they probably see something of themselves in it.

idk about that. it wouldn't take that long for characters to figure it out if it was just blurry faces, and i don't think there's a level of loss that would make it prohibitive to figure out who your castmates are that isn't so high that it might as well be full memloss.

~magic jamjar unidentifiable castmates~, anon. you can't remember or figure it out because you just can't, no matter how hard you try. it doesn't have to make perfect sense, but it's an option for people who want to play their characters as-is without worrying about getting locked into a relationship with a castmate just because that's who their character knows. call it bond severance or something, idk. the magical jamjar gods wanted that particular person to make an entirely new relationship because reasons.

when people have their character rant about the things in their canon that the fandom is salty about in general even when it's not ic for the character

just people using their characters as mouthpieces in general is annoying but that situation in particular really gets my goat

I joined only knowing a few people and knowing ahead of time that a couple of people I actively dislike were in the game, but I've been having a good time and it's not difficult to avoid people for the most part if you're not interested in playing with them. I was checking my threads for AC earlier and yeah a lot of them get dropped at 10 comments or under, but I tag out often enough that I still hit some good ones and enjoy myself.

So far I've mostly been playing more sol, but I'm going to try and get more creative with some of the easily utilized darker aspects of the setting, so hopefully that'll be fun too. It's like pretty much any other low key game I've ever been in. Bit more interesting than Eudio though, if only because there's a bit more freedom with the setting.

'roles' don't always negate 'pings'. maybe the baby of the group and the person who kicks the baby of the group are both the type to secretly enjoy handholding and being shitty at romance, and the player picked them both up because they enjoy playing fumbling terrible courtships.

i'm not saying this applies to all people. some people play all sorts. but i was speaking generally. where you find players with a type, you have a player who's letting some ooc prefs bleed ic, and you can often get a sense of their personality as a result.

have any other dinosaurs who use photoshop cs2 had an issue where it won't...minimize, unless it's done manually? like, i can't click on another program to bring that up over photoshop. it only started doing this recently to me too, and it only does it after i've had photoshop open for at least 10 minutes. using windows 7 too, not 10.
