It's generous because I feel like a lot of this could have been avoided if Sean had just talked directly to the people he was having trouble with instead of talking to everyone else. There was a conversation in the middle of that log that amounted to "there's screencap proof" "I'd like to see this proof" "then why didn't you ask for it before now?"

So yes, the mods were wrong for jumping the gun and assuming the worst, but it's also not great that the wronged party went straight to his timeline (knowing how tense everyone is right now).

As it is right now, it feels like we only have one side. Unless one of the mods is prone to bouts of hysterics, people don't just cry "stalking" without some reason to feel threatened. I know that as anons we're supposed to jump to declaring mods are evil and Ryslig is dying from toxicity, but I don't feel right about it in this case.

This might not be an entirely fair comparison, but to take it to an extreme: what if it was Stormy or Ken who'd received harassment complaints? Who gets to decide when someone's overstepped a line when it comes to someone's comfort level? We don't know enough of the other perspective to be able to make an informed decision about which side is the right one in this case.

He did. A few times actually. The proof was never provided.

You know what it reminds me of? All the times people claimed to know who anon mods in other games were, and when asked for proof of said knowledge refused to give it because they ~couldn't reveal their sources~.

Tal even used a variant of the same excuse. She couldn't provide the proof because the screencap would reveal who the mod in question was.

So yeah, doubting the proof's existence myself.

he wasn't aware of said proof until that point in the conversation when he asked for it. he didn't know to ask the mod whose phone he apparently added until mod a told him that's why he'd been unfriended. like, unless you're expecting him to somehow be able to sort together clues with his psychic powers... he can't ask for something he didn't know existed. the screencap didn't come up until tal brought it up, when he then asked for it.
