This week's update was pretty depressing for me. I've already resigned myself to the fact that, as someone who doesn't do a whole lot of pvp, I was going to be playing the waiting game, but we've heard literally nothing on the pve front since challenge modes were released.

I guess this is a good excuse to finally go finish my FO4 playthrough and dick around in the Division beta, but man. shit sucks. ilu destiny, where did the magic go? :(

i don't really think bungie has it out for pvers but yeah, i was hoping there would be something i could solo. i might still make an effort to find someone to do this with depending on how the rewards are distributed.

like, it makes sense that for a valentine's event you'd need a buddy but another pvp event coming so soon after iron banner is a bit of a letdown.

Oh, I certainly don't think that. It would be silly to assume that Bungie "has it out" for any aspect of the game. I was just disappointed that they've been so tight lipped about whatever it is they have planned. My own fault probably for getting my hopes up and assuming their recent flurry of communication would extend beyond pvp when they gave little indication otherwise.

I might have gotten excited if I could've picked up a 'bear hug' emote for my Titan, but instead we get.. Hotline Bling and Napoleon Dynamite dances? idk

yep, i understand they can't talk about it but can't we just get a hint? vague tweets? more cryptic remarks from eris? bungie plz. i get it's been a rough couple of weeks for you guys but my optimism is starting to waver.

and oh yeah, the hotline bling emote is... dumb, ngl (i guess it's vaguely valentine's day related?), but it was really smart of bungie. they know how to capitalize off this emote thing.

i think they're really underestimating the amount of hype that can come from being open about what they're working on. showing snippets even if you can't set a ship date can get people excited if you do it in the right way. i'd like to know what direction they're taking for the next pve release, at least, and maybe just a hint at what's going on with destiny 2.

i'm not too salty about it since i have other games to get through but i'd love a reason to pick destiny back up right now. i really love the game but all i have to look forward to is levelling up two alts, and i have no content to do that for since my regular raid team disappeared into other games as well.

Some people take the emblem they gave people for New Year's to be a hint towards the next DLC as it supposedly shows Mercury with Vex structures in front of a huge sun.

The full DLC plans were leaked back before HoW was released and Taken King was called Taken King (it was originally Plague of Darkness). The schedule doesn't quite match up any more but unless they've completely changed their plans the next DLC is a Vex one, and most people are expecting it to be on Mercury because of various hints towards Osiris in TTK. And the last DLC was called Forge of Gods and is the one that everyone expects to be focused on the Cabal.

that'd be cool and i'd love to go to mercury but until bungie says something on the matter i'm not getting my hopes up. i've seen the roadmap and they managed to stick to it for a year, but if they're planning two more TDB/HoW sized DLC for Destiny 1, it's time for a goddamn announcement.

mercury would be cool but i'm still holding out hope for the european deadzone before destiny 2, since it looks like that was something that was cut from the game
