rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

even some chain stores still prefer in-person apps. the last two places i've worked have both been sizable chains and both times they wanted me to turn in a paper app.

I'm in a city. They get way too many people coming in and out to do that. Which the Baby Boomers around where I live don't get. They get hundreds of applications a day.

Has anyone else noticed that all the places people are listing as taking in person apps are crappy retail and fast food jobs that you're supposed to take to work through school and not career jobs that you can actually start a family on?

welcome to the real job market of today. a lot of people are actually forced to take these jobs

sometimes it works out though. my ~shitty retail job that i handed in a paper app to offered better pay and benefits than my 9 to 5 office job
