the fact that she didn't look 13 (see above picture), had a fake id and was willing to lie about her age if asked (and bowie never felt a need to), the fact that both were high to the point the statrape charge would never go to trial either then or today, the fact that lori mattix has zero regrets and no charges were ever filed and bowie expressed embarrassment over everything he did while he was dangerously addicted to cocaine.

I never said it wasn't a shitty thing to do, but reducing those facts away paints an incredibly different picture of what allegedly happened according to Matttix's own account.

You're leaving out huge parts of the story and spreading misinformation as a result. And no, legally, the sex wasn't consensual because they were both intoxicated.

the fact that drugs were heavily involved makes it just a murky-water mess, but the same logic applies in that she lied about her age, had id backing that up, and was consenting to sex with him. his fault lay in being addicted to drugs, not in fucking a minor since he was under the impression she was not.
