I wish we'd have an update and Himaruya would decide to stick around for more than a few weeks

or at least announce his hiatuses

The Kitayume site still has the Halloween image on the front. What are the other series he's working on? Was that rumored new volume in making true? I get the sense he's really busy, but also just not feeling it like he used to.

I get the same vibe. It's fine if he doesn't want to draw it as much and move onto other projects, but just a notice would be nice instead of leaving us hanging. Especially when it comes down to things like Christmas 2012 where he even came back and said he'd finish it but ended up dropping another event before he even got that far.

Don't know anything about new volume rumors, but another project was light novel illustrations for the horror game he helped with iirc. He's still working on "Taishou Roman Oni-san Yameteeee!" too, I believe.

you really don't know how it works for people in the manga business, do you?

himaruya fell ill and it's suspected it was due to being overworked. he's got a tight, full schedule and he's either drawing for one of his various series or he's taking on something else. he has the light novel, that other manga, hetalia volumes, and birz. it used to be just 2 manga series and the wesbite, but now he has a whole slew of problems.

since he's so in demand, i don't see him getting a break anytime soon, unless he gets sick again. some mangaka can handle it better than others, and who knows how many assistants he has (which would make a difference in workload). he can't just stick around and update that easily. he's being worked to the bone.

I apologize; I realize I sounded entitled and bitchy in my initial comment. I know it's hard to sound sincere over anon text of all things but thanks for offering some perspective. It's easy to forget what kind of workload he has.
Honestly I still wish it could be like 2009 all over again but I know that ain't gonna happen so I just have to deal with it.

bothers me sfm when people keep whining about wanting updates. I want an update as much as everyone else but people know he has other projects and they act like Hetalia is the only one he's working on.
