Get a job

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Suspension of disbelief can only go so far, anon, and I can't think of a single way around the long hair getting caught thing. I feel they gave Natasha Stark long hair because she's a woman and didn't think about the rest.

I hope you're a troll.

Eh, considering the general trends in comics to make girls pretty (and to present their boobs and butts at the same time) no matter how unrealistic it is, I wouldn't say it's weird to suspect that they slapped some long hair on her to make it clear that she was the lady version and didn't think too hard about the logistics.

This pretty much.

I'm not calling someone who has concerns about the representation of women in comics a troll.

I'm calling someone who argues that all canon female AU Tony Starks are shit just because they have long hair and long hair in a metal helmet not getting viciously ripped from her scalp every time is unrealistic and violates suspension of disbelief because there's no way to get around it, but the magical technovirus which lets people grow back internal organs apparently doesn't require suspension of disbelief a troll.

If you want to talk about feminism and women in comics that's a good conversation. That's also a different conversation.

A technovirus that works in-universe because that's how it works.

Meanwhile, Earth physics otherwise applies so yeah, unless we're told otherwise, I can see why long hair + small moving parts that could easily catch it can break suspension of disbelief, especially when aware of the sexism present in the industry.

The hair net would probably get torn to pieces itself. Same with the shower cap.

Swim cap.

Unstable molecules borrowed from the Fantastic Four.
