rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Mainly samples for me. For most of my characters, I'm okay with personality sections.

Agreed with this and I don't see the point in having to write one if the canon has a good wiki page. It's bad enough for the people whose canons don't have a good wiki and they do have to write one.

god, this. and then they blacklist you if your character ICly says something offensive

like sorry, dudes, but my character calls people 'retards' and 'sluts' in canon, if you ask me because it makes you uncomfortable i'll avoid having him say it around your characters but come on. it doesn't make me an ableist slut-shamer for being ic.

Noticing a stupid mistake you made in an old thread- a spelling error, a nonsensical phrase, etc.- and not being able to correct it, either because the comment was already replied to or it was months ago and no1curr.

NPCing

it ends up falling to me a lot of the time because my co-mods are busier than me and I'm usually the one to come up with plots :/ but I actually really hate it

Players who post to HMDs then come running with their ass out for pats when they get crit- no matter how reasonable and respectful it is.

Or they get crit and their friends come along and go "OH BB DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS YOU ARE PERFECT TO ME adfsdgfg ;////;". If the crit-giver is wrong, it's one thing, but often, they're not, and I've seen players be encouraged to keep up bad behavior (cliquishness, chronic thread-dropping, poor characterization etc.) because they automatically discount the crit-giver as soon as their friends come along and tell them no, they're just fine.

If you post to an HMD, that means you are looking for crit. If you plan on ignoring everything that's not an asspat, that's what lovememes are for. This is not a difficult concept.

Players who are in school and RP or dick around on Plurk or play video games all day instead of doing their schoolwork, then come crying to everyone about how they're having anxiety attacks and their parents/teachers are upset with them because their grades are dropping and they never have any work done.

NO SHIT.

The world is not going to end if you have to hiatus or ignore RP and put down Skyrim for a few days to get an assignment done, I promise.
