Plurk is down so I have to rant here.

I am so, so fucking tired of everyone only talking to me when they need to SHARE THEIR FEELS about their own things. I feel like I'm making such a stupid effort knowing about and expressing interest in the fandoms and shit that my friends are into because I care about what they like, when they never ever do the same for me. I know my tastes are rather more obscure than theirs but they could make something faintly resembling an effort back. They tell me that they want to hear about my stuff but their reactions when I talk boil down to smiling and nodding and the occasional "haha you like weird stuff". I make sure to at least know the outline and state of your stupid fandoms when goodness knows they are dull as fuck, because I like you and want to share things with you. You could maybe perhaps make the tiniest effort to get an idea of what I like beyond "weird people with names I can't remember lololol".

99% sure a relationship that is really important to me is on the verge of ending

i know the best option for the other person involved is for me to let go and let them do what they need to be happy and i'm going to but it's kind of awful anyways

anyway! this anonling is entering college in august/september and she's getting an apartment + roommates because that's the only method of 'dorming' for this college.

i think i'm stocked up on tips on keeping an apartment with other roommates and stuff, but how do you go about choosing a good roommate? what's a good time after initiating friendship to ask them to room up? etc etc stuff like that

I'm working on starting a game and I've been contemplating what sort of system to go with as far as ACs go. Every game I've been in has done it differently. Admittedly I'm too lazy to paw through every single existing game to see what most games use... but even then, it doesn't mean what most use is always the best.

tl;dr - What kind of AC standards do you have in your games and what kinds do you like best/think are most fair.

now that this plot is coming to a close there's someone who i really, really do not ever want to deal with again ic or ooc. they've been pushy and rude and constantly trying to make everything about their character while trying to backseat something they didn't even have a hand in coordinating in the first place

what's a graceful (in dwrp vernacular) way of telling this player "hey, i haven't had a very good experience with you because (reasons here) and would rather not deal with you anymore?"

I wonder how big an aim chat room can be? with plurk down, I kinda want to go back to aim chats and just have everyone join "plurkisdown" or something..

hi there anions! i got a quick question for you guys.

so lately i've gotten back into a manga i used to read and made a journal for one of the characters there. problem is, he's not exactly a main character. like, he's up there on the scales and everything but the show doesn't completely revolve around him. there's only a select few parts where it shows him in it, but that only happens so often and maybe you won't see him for a good episode or two longer after that.

i want to app him into a game but i'm not sure if it's a good idea? like i'd rather just go off what the wiki says happened to him rather than read a whole bunch of books for just one or two pages of the character i want to play.

would that be a good idea? no?

When your character is a Mean Girl and people like them more than they should, and your character gets other characters to question the girl she picks on, and RP ends up way too much like high school.

Yep, I've pretty much given up on playing from this canon. It came out years ago and I'm sure its prime has passed, and while there are a lot of people playing from it still, everyone is either a lazy/bad writer, very flaky, or unwanted on an OOC level. :( And I am so sad about it, because I have so many ships and such a huge desire to play with even 1 castmate who is active and good and not a tittybaby/overinvested/oversensitive.

is it considered a faux pas to play from something (in memes) if you're not up to date? like, i know what happens but i haven't actually watched it. for example, playing from supernatural if you've only watched 6/9 seasons.
