does anyone know of any short-term games shooting to open soon? like the mafia-styled ones that were being advertised here a while ago.

on a whim, i followed a bunch of blogs on tumblr the other day

within a few hours i received an irate message from somebody i followed shrieking and having a meltdown about how they don't know me and their blog is only for friends and demanding that i leave them alone and get out of their personal space (i never said anything to them, only followed)

ok... so, if their blog is their 'personal space' and 'only for friends', why the hell didn't they password lock it? and/or avoid tagging the entries? i swear, tumblr's demographic just gets collectively stupider and more entitled every day. it blows my mind that people think anything they put on the internet is private, let alone that they can't seem to comprehend basic in-site privacy features. even if i don't follow them, what the hell do they think is stopping me from just visiting their blog's URL and looking at their shit that way? i'm just scratching my head over here.

did anything hilarious/stupid happen to you on tumblr lately? given what a cesspool of idiocy it is you all must have war stories.

While we’re talking about what not to do on April Fools Day, let me remind everyone not to pull ‘unreality pranks’.

Don’t go up to a person and say ‘wake up’, ‘you’re dreaming’ (and especially don’t tag team it with two or three other people, saying the same thing). Don’t pretend not to know a person you know. Don’t fabricate events or non-existent people in order to pull a ‘you don’t remember? it just happened the other day!’

All of these things can trigger severe dissociative episodes, panic attacks, paranoia, psychotic episodes, and suicidal ideation.

If you haven’t experienced this (I assume most non mentally ill people haven’t), suffice to say it is the most frightening feeling in the world, and makes you want to be dead, like, right now. So don’t do it.

someone on wg recently said my character was boring and a shitty interpretation. i was surprised to see myself namedropped since i'm really under the radar, and don't really tag that much either (i'm in a slowish game on top of that.) i know most anons would say to just ignore it, but at the same time, i don't feel like it's grudgewank since i'm not popular at all. yet i haven't gotten any complaints in my hmd.

what should i do in this situation? i keep thinking about it.

so i'm a super picky motherfucker when it comes to character death. i've been rping for several years and i've never once killed off somebody in-game

an opportunity finally arises in my current game. this character has a strong web of cr that would notice and care if he died. his death would be at the hands of a friend. it was gonna be so great

but each and every thread related to that death has fallen through. i didn't get to play out the fight leading to his death, nor his dramatic last-breaths moment of death, nor even the direct game-revive aftermath with concerned friends. circumstances came up and everything's been dropped

on one hand i kind of want to laugh at my amazingly bad luck, but on the other hand...feels bad, man. it's gonna take me months, if not a year, to build up to another good time for a death again
