weathermen suck. Every time there's the slightest hint of a hurricane down here they act like it's the beginning of the apocalypse. After a while, you can't tell whether you should take them seriously anymore because any tropical depression at all will have them creaming themselves and how can you tell which are actually serious when they act like everything is? When did the news stop being about information and turn into entertainment?

No basement in my house - which makes it worse, since a bad windstorm a year ago knocked a tree into the master bedroom of the house and almost landed on who was sleeping in the bed at the time.

Storm last night was scary - tonight should be worse. I don't mind them usually, but I am surrounded by a shit ton of trees and that's a little freaky. Fingers crossed, anon!
