rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

it's trust. if they give out their full name all the time, then they should be able to trust people with looking at their facebook. they should make that shit private if they don't want people looking them up.

i'm actually not sure she meant to- i don't remember her full name showing up on my contacts list until yesterday, so it might have just been google fucking up with its new policies or something.

Well considering that anything people post on facebook is something they're choosing to make widely available to anyone on the internet, it's hard to say that someone on the internet looking at it would qualify as creepy.

If you vigorously tracked down this person's RL identity in spite of their attempts to keep that identity separated from RP, then I'd say you're being invasive and disrespectful to them. The question then is whether you'd care enough about your own standards of behavior not to do something like that to another person.

i stalk attractive people from my class. it's not like i'm gonna fap to it and post it on some online shrine, nor am i going to use the info to influence a relationship with them. just interested, is all. anything not private on fb is fair game as far as i'm concerned.
