Hm... well, does your character usually make close friendships very quickly?

Because I know that some of mine take a lot of time to even make it up to that point.

Do you throw your character into big, potentially character developing plots? Because I think that's one of the best things you can do to make really close CR.

To be honest, my character is supposed to be kind of self conscious. So admittedly, that is a big part of it.

There aren't a lot of huge open plots going on right now, but I do tag around and try to make posts that are accessible to lots of people. I'm hesitant to do anything major with my character at the moment since I've had bad experiences in RPs where people would cram their characters into the spotlight when someone else had something major going on and I don't want to be "that mun."

Well, if I read correctly the game you're in occasionally has battle type plots? Maybe do something with that?

I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it once. That only seems to be a problem when somebody constantly does it. I doubt you're the type to steal the spotlight, so I wouldn't worry about that bit.

The character I play is largely non-combatant and has been kind of sheltered, so I think throwing them into that would be a bit too intense ICly.

But thanks for the advice, anon. I may try to toss out something big after a while and see if it goes anywhere.
