Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i guess when i think of thirsting for knowledge i think of people studying out of books, regardless of the field, more than going out and just doing it. the latter is what i think of jade as doing, im sure she does crack open books to learn stuff, i just think of her as really hands on and i think of ravenclaw as studying to learn their craft and studying out of books. similar to hermione since hermione has a lot of ravenclaw traits. i also dont see her as being competitive or willing to backstab anyone, though she wouldnt necessarily have to backstab anyone to be in ravenclaw since there are other traits associated with it. creativity is one, like you mentioned.

maybe she is just another hs character that can be between houses, most of them can fit in two or three of them.

i was sorted into ravenclaw with pottermore and there's a definite emphasis on independent research in the house in the introduction

like, sitting in a corner, cracking eggs and keeping journals about cracking eggs, getting other people to help you crack eggs over and over, to see if eggs can predict the future and thus add to the general knowledgebase of wizards and witches

it's not just book learning

i was sorted into slytherin. the intro letter was hilarious as hell though i cant remember it just now.

yeah i dont really see jade doing all that either. maybe cracking open eggs and being interested in it in general but not going into all that detail. she is, again, an intuitive learner. when it comes to her element of space she is insanely exact/accurate but i wager that is more of a talent granted by her class. it is the same with dave, dave can tell you time down to the second on any given day because he is a hero of time.

so basically ravenclaw is more like learning + studying, gotcha.
