Slides an asexual up your thigh

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Re: Fantasy/supernatural/monster game

1. A more modern-urban setting feels appropriate as a base... But please don't copy the Dresden Files "tech fails for magic" thing. (A general pattern of "Magic and tech do not intersect", with some details of specific odd-case interactions - like if cameras see vampires or not - could be more appropriate.)

2. Witches as monsters somehow seems fun. Possibly look at Rosario to Vampire's array of monsters as a sampling of options.

3. I'd suggest offering four options: One chosen by the Mods to reflect the character, one that clashes significantly with the character, and two rolled up completely at random (which could result in particularly comical or interesting matches that aren't expected). I'd also suggest one rule: One player cannot have two characters both be the same monster (enforced by the mods simply not offering any monster they already have for any new character, even if it's a good match or clash).

4. A supernatural force seems a more interesting origin to me.

5. Fairly flexible on plots.

Just some opinions, personally.
