there's someone in my fandom who grudgewanks against ships they don't like and then tries to back it up with "well i talked to one of the layout artists and he doesn't ship it either!! WORD OF GOD!!"

bizarrely stupid ship-policing and insistent use of tvtropes terminology aside, since when does a random layout artist who has nothing to do with the writing or story count as "word of god", let alone trump things the actual writers have said

tbh it's probably just as much about showing off that they have omg ~inside knowledge~ than anything else, but i still want to punch them for being so smug over something so incredibly stupid
