Uhh

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

is everyone still mad about demisexuality

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
yes

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
why

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
why do people think demisexual is an orientation

you can be demisexual and gay at the same time or straight or bi or whatever

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
i'm not even 100% sure what demisexuality is

i also don't know what "cis" is, i mean i get the gist of what someone is trying to say when they say "cis-male" but like is it short for something? what does it mean? i'm so confused, i don't tumblr at all.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
demisexual = only sexually attracted to people you're in love with, otherwise asexual.

cis is the opposite of trans; so a cis-male is a male in a male body

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cis%E2%80%93trans_isomerism

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
it's not tumblr, it's SCIENCE!!!

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
demisexual would be if you couldnt watch porn or anything because you have to have a strong emotional attachment to someone before they become sexually attractive

its not the same thing as not wanting to bone strangers

cis is when your body and your sexual identity are the same

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
see: demisexuals losing it over cumberbutt

he's a total stranger to them but because he's a celebrity they have many feels for him

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
gender identity, not sexual.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
demisexuality is a term used by people to say they feel no sexual attraction to people without having some kind of deep emotional connection to them first. pretty much "I only want sex when feelings are involved!"

it makes it sound like somehow this is abnormal and the rest of the world are sex crazed sluts. when you know...people who need/want relationships before sex is not some random unicorn. it's normal.

really most demisexuals who aren't trying to be special snowflakes (aka those who on the rare occasion find someone who piques their libido but otherwise don't have one) have lower sex drives and it's nothing damn special. it doesn't need a fucking label but people love labeling themselves.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
hilarious is reading how some 'demisexuals' and asexuals think the world works.

It seems a lot are pretty convinced 'normal people' just walk down the street and randomly grab someone and fuck them anywhere, anytime, all day, everyday; and when they aren't doing that they're throwing massive depraved orgies where they discuss how to oppress demisexuals in between dickings.

Lets be real, tho...both consumer media and the news likes to talk about how people can't keep it in their pants all the time, so its not hard to see where people could get that impression.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
the word "cis" is the opposite of the word "trans"

"cis" essentially means "on the same side as" and trans means "across from". that's why non-trans people are called "cis"; their body and gender identity are on the same side as each other.

I don't understand???

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It's basically the white girls of tumblr getting asspained because he's received a lot of positive attention for his songs and views even tho, omg, he used a slurrrrr in his soooooong. Apparently his popularity undermines other artists in the same field because they're poc? There's a thing going around like 'less robin thicke more macklemore' and of course that's interpreted as WHITE GUY GETS ALL THE LOVE, DISGUSTING when the point is that there needs to be less white guys like robin and more like macklemore.

It's just ironic to me that these tumblr babies are crying that he's a white guy taking the spotlight for social justice when they're all trying desperately to do the same thing.

tl;dr idk i guess i'm still really sad that he died in the sixth harry potter book

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
please excuse me while i crack the fuck up at your last line

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
what slur? faggot? he used that to prove a point.

although omg i just looked up the racialicious article and i am cracking up at this. And in the third verse he raps, “and a certificate on paper isn’t gonna solve it all, but it’s a damn good place to start.” For many queer people of color who have not seen themselves represented in the marriage equality campaign, it can be very hurtful to have a straight person–let alone a white one in a musical genre that was created to address white supremacy–tell them where the best place to start is. where do i even staaaaaaaaaaaart.

Omfg I didn't even know people were nitpicking that. He's not fucking telling you where to start, he's telling society you fucking idiots.

This is what I hate about sjw culture, it isn't fighting for justice or a cause it's just endless nitpicking and hate breeding and just a big ugly fight to prove who is THE MOST INFORMED.

"these tumblr babies are crying that he's a white guy taking the spotlight for social justice when they're all trying desperately to do the same thing."
Really hit the nail on the head on why it's impossible to take these people seriously.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-11 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
it's not because he's white

it's because he's straight

and acting like he's the first pro-gay artist in hip-hop

even though there are, and have been, queer artists. that are being ignored in his stead.

that's the problem people have with macklemore. where he not in the spotlight, he'd be fine. his song would be fine. the fact that he's getting more praise and attention than actual queer people, and the fact that he stole the song from a queer artist is a problem.

sorry you have trouble understanding that
