Uhh

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Give me a source that proves he's acting like the first pro-gay artist in hip-hop and another that proves he stole the song and maybe I will walk into the glorious light shining from your ass, sjw.

Also fun fact: when people continue to point out that he's white, cis and male and condemn him for it in all of their angry posts, it diminishes the sentiment behind their original post. If you can't get your head out of your ass for five seconds to speak about something factually and not bring petty insults and judgement into it, people might actually fucking listen.

the fucking lyrics of same love:
"If I was gay, I would think hip-hop hates me"

you ding dong

also, pointing out that he's straight and talking over queer people isn't "petty insults" wtf, anon

...that doesn't fucking mean he's acting like the first pro-gay hip-hop artist or anything. he's saying that if he were gay he'd feel as if hip hop hates him. he's talking about what he knows because he's a hip hop artist. what? what the shit? stealing the song from a queer artist? what because he's getting more attention than mary lambert?

the guy is popular because he had a couple other catchy popular songs and same love didn't even get popular until this year (it was released over a year ago). he's not "talking over queer people." he's expressing support for gay rights. people are going to give him more attention because he was already popular. considering how backwards gay rights are in the states and that he wrote the song with his uncles in mind (who are featured on the cover), any support is a good thing in my book. it's not like he's complaining about not being eligible for the lambda award or anything like that. he's saying people have to change and cast aside their differences even though he's not a member of the oppressed group.

did you even read the first link

he literally stole the beat/rhythm from le1f

(Anonymous) 2013-09-12 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
i actually just scanned over the link without even registering it

yes, wut and thrift shop sound way too alike. it's definitely arguable that thrift shop ripped its rhythm from wut. but same love's rhythm wasn't stolen from anything.

also, that response wasn't over the top or anything. what's your problem, anon?
