... this isn't canon. this is an RP. this is a game for funtimes.

if you're going to allow it for some people and not others, at mod bias at that, in may cases when mods don't know canons, that's unfair. not to mention that the persona 1/2 characters having the ability despite not being fools a bit ridiculous anyway.

just let anyone sign up for it provided they can give evidence that it works with their character, or make it something a character unlocks. a lot of popular Minato and Souji interpretations wouldn't make it as Fools if they were posted under different names/canons as it is!

I'm sorry, but it is pretty much explicit canon as of P4, and in a game based on a canon, you don't just get to bend the rules because someone wants a shiny. That's like saying those with weak hearts can have Keyblades in a Kingdom Hearts-based game despite Keyblades going to people with strong hearts canonly. Or someone everyone being given a chance at the Master Sword.

Then why bend them for the P1/P2 characters? Or Aigis?

If they're Fool Arcana, then it's more applying new information to older canon. ~~I don't know anything outside of P4 yet, so forgive me if I get things wrong~~

Because the rules are different in P1/P2; characters aren't limited to only one arcana. They can equip ANY arcana they want, however different characters have better affinity for certain ones; Maki has higher affinity with Hermits and Lovers, Nanjo has higher affinity with Heirophants, etc. Also, in those games all characters are seen inside the velvet room, meaning they can all enter.

But this game isn't based on P1/P2. It is very explicitly based on P4, so different things apply here. All you're saying is that they're keeping canon powers.

If we're going to let powers from other canons apply, and yes, P1/P2 and even The Answer ARE other canons by the premise of this game, then other characters should be able to keep canon powers as well.

The Wild Card did not exist in earlier games.That is undeniable. This is not a power that should be given to them just to make up for the fact that gameplay changed from 2 to 3.

p1/p2 characters arent given the wild card ability though. they just have access to the velvet room because they've all been there before. wild card ability only applies to those of the fool arcana. wild card ability does not exist in p1/p2. it's just normal for them to be able to switch persona and there's no reason to limit that.
