Is it true that Saphie and Pixle are palling around on Plurk planning plots and CR with each other? Because if so, then the fact that Pixle apparently was never upset with Saphie in the first place, combined with the fact that Shae said Saphie's complaints about how the rest of the mod team was handling the modplot were valid, is making that last post look even more dickish with how they were calling her crazy.

If she Pixle that upset that she quit modding to not deal with her, I really doubt she'd be squeeing at Saphie over future CR and planning plots with her.

Between this and people telling a depressed person they should go kill themselves, this game is starting to look disgustingly ableist.

I'm not on Saphie's plurk but I heard that Pixle's still planning CR and plotting with her like they're getting along fine.

Meaning she was never upset with her in the first place and that big stink over how Saphie's post supposedly scared her away from modding was complete bullshit.

Oh. Dragon's a player here that's pretty annoying, but known to be really depressed. A few anoncomm posts back, some gross player went anon under the T9 thread and basically said that he should kill himself.

A lot of other anons told them off, but just the fact that someone did it is pretty disgusting, no matter how annoying he is.

That added to this recent thing with blaming Saphie for Pixle dropping modding and making fun of her mental problems when it sounds like Pixle was never upset with Saphie in the first place is making how the players here treat mental illness look a little gross.

Honestly, it could be that Saphie's post made Pixle decide she didn't want to mod any more, without infuriating her or making her hate Saphie forever. Pix is a pretty rational person who can decide that something isn't working out for her without pitching a fit over it.

If she wasn't upset though then it could have been as simple as seeing there was a lot more that still had to be done and realizing she didn't really have the time for it all, which is what she basically said.

My point is that everyone thinks it was because she bitched her out and they made a big stink over it, using it as an excuse for mockery. If she was upset, she wouldn't be seeking Saphie out to plan things with her. And if she wasn't upset, then it could have just been that it made her realize she didn't have time to get everything done that needed to be, in which case, stepping down was probably what Pixle needed to do.

Turning a mod reexamining thier time and deciding they'd rather take a smaller role into an excuse to be hateful is where this crossed a line. The other players complaining probably made Rini reexamine her time and step down but no one is calling that bitching.

As a T9 player who has a mental illness I was upset at what happened in the last post. I don't know what's with some people.

I think part of it is there are a lot of people in LJRP that use things like personality disorders and other mental problems to excuse treating people badly without ever trying to change their behavior.

But that's still no excuse for people doing things like saying Dragon should kill himself, and now it seems like it's becoming an ongoing problem rather than an isolated incident.

The backlash against that kind of talk is a little reassuring, but it really shouldn't be showing up in the first place.

I agree. Sadly, I don't see what anyone can do about it beyond wishing those people would drop.

All the same, it makes me sad to see people responding to the actions of what is likely one person or not even a player in the game at all with "the people you have in this game." I've been in this game for a long time now. I'm not ignorant or shitty enough to tell anyone, depressed or not, to kill themselves. I honestly can't think of anyone I play with in the game who is.

Whoever they are, if there's even more than one of them, I am certain their in the minority. I look forward to them going away. In the meantime, please don't give them the undeserved power of representing the game as a whole.
