rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

It never fails to surprise me how fast the CnC thread falls in to grudgewank, vitriol, and venom.

Makes me wonder why people don't just drop and go somewhere else if so many people get them this angry and full of hate.

If it bothers them so much and they haven't figured out that being an asshole is not an acceptable form of crit/forgot the 'constructive' part of concrit then they should just go to another game/musebox/PSL.

Tbh, I think this is just a big game thing. I've personally never had a problem with anoncomm stuff because I do think it's good for people to air out their feelings in a fairly harmless way. I know other large games have wank like this just as often.

I honestly think that CnC has some of the best players, oocly. Everyone I thread with is great, everyone I crit has been open to taking suggestions, and I can 100% truthfully say I've never had a problem with anyone in-game.

I think the bigger the game, the more people have to wank about. Maybe I'm just lucky but I never had problems with anyone OOC and if something is a problem ICly people are always willing to work it out.

This makes sense.

Honestly, it doesn't seem that grudgewanky to me. There are several very civil discussions going on, but a few people seem to be handling it badly (and they are being called out for it too.)

Not directly linked to any particular thread here but, like I said once before. It is entirely possible to be grudgewanky and 'polite' at the same time. Civility does not automatically remove the possibility that someone is being a wanker.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can always count on murder hate, somebody getting called the fuck out, vicious whiteknighting, leaked plurks. I love your anoncomm thread but I wouldn't app into this game if I could make salary doing it.

Hey, I'm a player seeking a new game. After reading this, C&C won't be this game. If you go this mad over minor criticism, you'll probably rip people apart for concrit on a HMD.

You know, most other games. It's rather sad that you think all games have as much wank and bile as this one evidently has.

Sad, too, since the game seemed interesting. But community makes or breaks a game, and in the case of C&C, it's breaking it.

you are dumb. if you even bothered to actually INVESTIGATE the game--like, for example, seeing how people ACTUALLY INTERACT on the hmds that are still up, you can totally look through them--you would see that there is actually very little wank at all and most of the shit on anoncomm is stirred up by basement dwellers with nothing better to do than antagonize people who like to pretend to be fictional characters on the internet in their spare time.

assuming you're not a troll yourself, of course, which I am inclined to suspect.
