Sorry, I do tend to use a lot of curses and stuff when I type, I guess that can be read as being very angry, but I'm not! I can hold back if it's bugging you.

Honestly I think a rule is a rule. Grimm's been in the game awhile, and I know they've been playing Trowa aged-down for a time, so why would the rule apply to them, but not Calvin and Damian? I would consider that unfair. And yeah I guess saying 'suddenly' would be misleading, it's not like a rule would get written up and implemented overnight.

Because Calvin and Damian have players who are conscious of their surroundings and take others in the game into consideration.

That still feels like the rule would be made specifically to exclude other players. You and some others may have a problem with Grimm's Trowa, but I do know that other people don't have the same issues.

Have you commented to her hmd? I'm pretty sure she'd be open to taking crit. Or you could explicitly say 'hey, I'm not really comfortable tagging your character', and I think that would be ok too.

Making up a rule to exclude her character would just be very shitty, NOT that I think it would actually be done.

And for the record, I am not against an age cap. CnC has always been a game with fairly mature things, and I don't think it's appropriate for say, kids under ten. I'm just very against letting some people be exceptions towards the rule.

Ok, ok sorry I didn't see what you meant there. Grimm does seem very open to comments and crit on her hmd, so I don't understand why people haven't tried to talk about it to her directly.

Yeah, I'm actually not aware of the other child characters in game, other than Homestucks.

Finn is (13), and so is Harry Potter (10 or 11 i think). The others I can think of have been in the game long enough they're older now.

The Homestucks and Finn aren't a problem. Since Harry Potter is played by Ty, it probably will become a problem with him soon enough.

AH, no, I was talking about the rule in a general sense, not to punish Grimm. I don't think Grimm should be forced to drop Trowa, (I don't even have an issue with Trowa!), nor that anyone at anytime should be singled out any time a major rule change is introduced to a game. Like you said, if it's going to apply to one person it should apply to all.

Like I said up there, I don't think an age cap is a bad idea. I don't think CnC is a great game for small children, and I don't see a problem with a lower age cap of ten or whatever. But you just can't make a (hypothetical) rule and then say that it wouldn't apply to some people for whatever reason, because that is just straight up shitty.

But you could say that everyone already in the game is exempt, just prevent new children from coming in.

I don't know, I still don't think that's fair! Someone who potentially wanted to app a younger character would see the rule, then see other young characters(possibly younger than their own) still allowed in the game, and be totally put off by that.

But at the end of the day this is all hypothetical.

If the hypothetical age cap rule was in place, they wouldn't be able to app the character into the game anyway, so I'm not seeing the problem.

IDK, I basically think that if people have as many issues with characters being too young/immature to deal with what's happening in the game, this should become an actual discussion with the moderators/the game at large instead of an offshoot in the anoncomm.

They would be put off from playing here at all. Possibly, I couldn't speak for someone else, but personally I wouldn't like seeing it.

Yeah, this is really something the mods should consider. If they decide that they want to put in an age limit, but still allow current characters that are under the limit to stay in, that's their decision and I really couldn't fight them on it. In the end, the mods are the ones in charge and have the best interests of the game in mind.
