I expected this to get trolled and it did. Sorry I ship something different? What Hussie did wasn't true to the characters. Are you forgetting Gamzee killed Equius and Nepeta? Why would Karkat just ignore that?

Karkat obviously became moirails with Gamzee because he had to, which is selling out the characters. Before Hussie decided he was a boring invincible villain, Kanaya was able to fight him perfectly fine. It's not right that Gamzee doesn't have to pay for what he did, no matter what Hussie says because Gamzee is his favorite character now.

Kanaya and Karkat have so much more between them. And I understand moirallegience just fine? Like Hussie has ever been consistent about troll romance?

I cant believe Karkat<>Kanaya players get judged for playing it out when the canon ship came out of nowhere and sells out Karkat and Kanaya as characters.

This whole thing started because you're judging a ship that conflicts with yours. I don't think it sells out either character in the least, you just ignored every indication that built towards the canon ship because you wanted a different one.

Well, if they're explicitly excluding the Gamzee player in order to continue their ship, that's pretty shitty of them, and that's the main peeve being aired in that thread.

I don't see why anyone should have to cater to a ship and character they don't like.

When it's a castmate who has a pretty large importance to your character in canon? Even if you're not playing the ship, excluding the character outright from your cr is not only rude but ooc.

I know it's canon, but I judge any Karkat I see playing it out in game. I doubt they really understand his character.

It could be that Karkat blames himself more for Eq and Nep's deaths than Gamzee, because really Gamzee was doing what he's more or less bred to do, as an indigo blood. Remember that Karkat sent Equius to find and subdue Gamzee, despite Eq telling him, basically, "I won't be able to fight back and he will kill me." By insisting that Equius go after him, instead of confronting the problem himself from the beginning as he should have, he sent him, and by accidental extension Nepeta, to their deaths. When he finally pacified Gamzee, he was finally rising to the occasion, and doing so in a way that makes him, as an anon down thread said, worthy of being the Signless' descendent.

It kinda sounds like you don't fucking understand how troll romance works at all (who the hell is supposed to be the pacifier in Karkat<>Kanaya? Who's the dangerous one? They're both pretty fucking docile by troll standards), and also that you seem to think Kanaya and Karkat can't have any CR without being moirails.

And you're doing the whole I JUDGE shit and assuming you know the characters better than the man who made them, so. I'm just gonna assume you're fuckin' dumb.

They're Hussie's characters, I think whatever the hell he does with them is his own goddamn decision AND is proper canon, not what you think is right.
