just curious - what drew you to Cloud in the first place and made you want to write for him? No judgement, just that it might be a good place for us to start because I tried to answer and went so tl;dr it was ridiculous and all over the place.

That turned into a tough question for me. I think it was rereading the gamescript and seeing how he's quiet but determined, and willing to talk about his issues when they're shoved in his face but either doesn't notice or ignores them until then, how he's empathetic and protective but socially clueless and kind of a jerk anyway. But he cops to having selfish motivations and doesn't really seem ashamed of that even though he puts himself down about other things.

His idea of how to tease or make fun of people too.

So it could be "all the little wrinkles" and I'm missing some when I tag with him.
