Ahaha, thanks so much anon! But mygosh, I've gotten such nice compliments on him at these memes that I'm starting to get super self-conscious about what I could be doing better! Playing a mastermind is very hard to pull off, especially when he's thrown into a world where not everyone will fall to his whims as in his own canon.

So thank you very much! And please if anyone has any suggestions or crit or w/e my HMD is always open! I already have some things I've been iffy about/need honing on, so putting him on a slowatus for this upcoming plot will hopefully allow me to gather and recollect!

I've never really liked that sort of event when I've seen it in other games. I'd be down for it if it was contained to an area (arena games?) but unrestricted, ehhh.

Potential apper here! Just wondering what the game is like. How easy is it to make the AC? To get CR? What's the ooc community like? can anyone help me out?

AC is two listings of any of the following:

an entry to the entry or log comm (requirement of being open to commenting but honestly I don't know who posts completely closed entries anyway)
three comments to a log
ten comments to an entry

The game is so busy that meeting the AC is pretty simple to do as long as you watch for what your character can comment on. First month you're exempt, so even if you intro late or something you won't have problems. Activity-wise, the problem I see more is people feeling like they have to tag out on everything to keep their character IC. Also that events go pretty fast. There's been crit to the mods now and people are willing to backtag, but it has gotten people disappointed to miss the main of an event because they were busy two or three days.

CR I've had good experience with. Everyone is willing to play with my characters if I tag, there are people who will go out and plot, and I haven't lost much to drops. I have seen some people having trouble due to drops though. I think the game is starting to steady out now but it's hard to say. You might have trouble if your character will take disappearances hard.

OOC, aim chat has always been friendly when I've been in there while it's alive. It's also been very frequently dead when someone wasn't doing mass invites. Definitely more centered around meme/plurk sort of things.

Well, the character I'm planning to intro is pretty chronically timid and shy, so I could probably get by with her not tagging as much. I tend to...overexert myself easily, so it's a conscious choice on my part. Depressing to know about the events - I'm not the greatest backtagger.

How often are there events?

I'm not much of an AIM person, or a plurk person, but I don't mind reaching out and plotting with people! I'm a pretty open tagger even with the shy ones. Thanks, anon!

for Jan & Feb there were three events scheduled each month. 1 House Contest, 1 Plot Event, and 1 "Special Event" (which is more random or holidayish stuff).

Their requirements are two of the following: a post with however many comments, a thread with at least 10 replies FROM YOU or three threads totaling 10 replies from you, and the standard 3 tags in a log.

I don't like how AC requirements emphasize quantity > quality in this game, especially considering its fast nature. All in all it's a nice game, but I just cannot stand their AC.

idk I think it's pretty reasonable. Twenty comments in thirty days isn't even one a day, you can put all the effort you want into it.

So, I've heard there are some right creepers in this game. How easy would you say it is to avoid them? I mean, I love the premise of this game, and it seems really active. But...urgh. Have read some things that leave a really bad taste in my mouth.

It's really easy to avoid them; there are a lot of players so you can pick and choose who your play with easily.

Can you give us a list of known creepers? Sometimes the creep vibe doesn't really settle in because maybe it might be the character.

I'm not brand new into the game into the game, have not run into any creepers at all. A horrible bitch in my cast who was bent on making my life/start up a few months ago a nightmare, but no creepers. Luckily mods caught that one in the bud though.

But again, just ignore them, if they persist take it up with someone. The mods, as far as I've had dealings, are pretty on the ball.

with so many people already accepted, why in the world haven't they updated the received apps page yet? didn't they already say they were going to try and keep on top of it better or something?

i think they should just do away with it tbh. it's too much trouble to keep up with, and it's not necessary.

I think it's needed, but only to show that the app has actually been received so applicants are aware theirs wasn't overlooked. They don't need to do the accepted/pending/rejected thing, even if the stats are interesting for some.

i seriously wish the mods would be more on top of things. some of the level up apps have been neglected for almost a month, they take forever updating pages, etc.

i love the game and i respect the mods for doing all they can to manage such a large game, but still.
