Also I'm not sure what Alex could get but knowledge, it's like all she does.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-06 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)Looking at the main community, there are a ton of posts with under 50 comments, some of them from weeks ago. 20-30 comments seems average, which is painfully low.
I think part of it is that some people are apping for the excitement of seeing which digimon they get.

I need to apologize, because I've been like that since the game started and its not okay that I am.
So yeah, I'm sorry and I'll do what I can to work on it, even if it means dropping down to only Mr. H by the end of this month.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)no idea, everyone i tagged dropped my comment 2-3 replies in and only bothered to respond when ac came up weeks later. i ignored their comments because i'm not going to help someone else make ac when it counts.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:57 am (UTC)(link)but i think a big part of the problem is the lack of focus. one head mod bailed right away and the other plurks more about an rp she doesn't even mod while basically ignoring this game. the co mods are great and have done a good job with apps and such but they didn't sign up to be head mods.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)and now i feel like i can't make the post i was intending to make looking for people to go out and check things out because i'll look like a fucking copycat. sure is a damn shame i was busy working all weekend.
this game has been so damn boring i'm ready to tear my hair out. if it wasn't for a couple of people who's CR I genuinely enjoy i would drop this place like a hot potato
i think the first and biggest mistake is that it basically takes place in the middle of the city. you have room assignments. you are encouraged to seek employment
this is a digimon game. in retrospect i should have made the suggestion when it was still in planning stages that we should just be dropped in the middle of the wilderness. survival in the digital world has always been a big theme. it could have been fun
Re: TERMINAL TOKYO
(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)I don't think anyone would consider you a copycat. Maybe if one or two people posts you can throw it up? Two groups of explorers is always more effective than one, which would be easier to work with if Neku hadn't filtered it. I'm actually a little pissed, not that it would matter because they're going to stop tagging people back within 24 hours.
Slightly OT: I think the game should change its AC rules. Everyone is making posts and hardly anyone will actually keep a thread going for more than two days. Only one post and 15/30 comments, none of that two posts and you're good bullshit. I wouldn't even care if you could use the comments from your own post to count but goddamn people tag out and stop filtering posts like this.
Back OT: You're right. I don't mind the slice of life aspect and actually kind of love it, but I do love reading other people investigating and learning more about the world. Everyone's basically stuck in the city with nothing to do until the mods (aka Kisa because the co-mods' hands are tied) get off their asses and throw plot at us.
Maybe destroy the city. Or have a big plot where the city has the potential to be destroyed if not enough people sign up and actively help (not sign up and then not do anything).
The game can be saved, I think. Kisa just has to realize she has so little investment in the game that it needs to be passed on. That, or she needs to light a fire under her ass. It's disappointing to see this game fizzle when it had so much great potential because the head mod doesn't give two shits. And it the game closes and someone else tries to restart it? People will be so wary of the second game and I doubt it'd manage to take off.

Anyways, please don't avoid making a similar post because of this! It wasn't my intent to lock anyone out: Neku just isn't the type to try and start any kind of movement to explore more. This post actually came out of a conversation with Squall about just the two of them going and grew from there. I should have found some way to open it to others and for that I apologize, and if anyone else wants their characters involved please pm me and we can work something out. Though tbh as far as I know there's no mod intent to have anything happen. The guys are just gonna drive around and come back.

Re: TERMINAL TOKYO
(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)This anon used to play at route 29 back in the day, and that did have some of the adventuring and camping stuff that would be super cool in terminal. I loved it! Problem was what it did to the CR.
My characters had long-term CR they'd never met in person because that CR was halfway across the map when my characters arrived, or because one character or the other had to keep going back to the beginning to get castmates. The characters mine had been traveling with sometimes would have to do this as well, and my characters would have to choose between going with them and going to meet their own castmates halfway across the map. Not to mention the CONSTANT "where the hell are my characters" problem if you hiatus even for a weekend.
Digimon Adventure worked partially because the kids were all the same age, knew each other beforehand and were all brought in at the same time in the same place. And even then the group split up and had to find each other more than once! What happens when you have 50+ characters of different ages showing up at different times who've never met? Characters are going to end up all over the place, alone or with 2-3 other people. All the time.
So what I'd like to see is more adventure plots that take big groups of characters away from town but keeping the central city as a base camp of sorts. Just my two cents.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)since i know you guys are watching this
and kinda throwing a fit over it
we are not complaining about nothing and we are not being butthurt. We are expressing genuine concerns over how the game is being run as well as things that might improve it. Sure it might be a little harsh but it is not wank and no one is attacking anyone.
we are also not asking you to cater to our every whim. that would be crazy.
what we are asking is
a. Better mod involvement. There need to be more communication, and plot and event posts need to be not only posted when and where people can see them, but they also need to be posted in a timely fashion and give us enough time to actually plan for them.
b. More emphasis on the Adventure aspect of the game. This is why a lot of people joined. I hope you can see why there are going to be quite a few people disappointed that we are only being given slice of life to work with. Getting to choose a different job each month is not exactly everyone's definition of 'exciting'.
c. A playerbase that is more willing to tag outside their small group of friends. Please at least try and be a little more open to those without cr with you. Try to tag longer then a couple times. If you have a post that you know a lot of people would enjoy tagging don't close it to all but a few.
I highly doubt any of these are unreasonable requests.
As for those people who are wondering why we're still here if we're 'bored' it's because we can still see the potential in the game and we still love the concept. That's why so many people are holding out for August because that's when major plot has been promised to us.
OP
(Anonymous) 2013-06-12 12:58 am (UTC)(link)I merely saw some people on a plurk dismiss some of the legitimate issues that have been raised here as people complaining just for the sake of complaining. Don't get me wrong, some people do come here to stir up trouble. However this should not immediately disqualify the opinions and ideas of everyone who raises concern.
My intention was not to attack anyone, I thought that was clear.
There is no animosity from my end. I am concerned about the state of the game in general. Why then did I chose to post it here instead of on plurk? There are many users who don't use plurk, or might not pay attention, or might not have the right people added. I felt it was something that everyone should be concerned about.
I don't want to see anyone drop from this game because of this. Just, you know, don't ignore problems that are in the game even if they might not seem like they are effecting you. Don't belittle the opinions of those who feel they are being left out.
And for the record I was not the anon who posted that plurk, and neither do I condone it.
