Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Re: TERMINAL TOKYO
(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)I don't think anyone would consider you a copycat. Maybe if one or two people posts you can throw it up? Two groups of explorers is always more effective than one, which would be easier to work with if Neku hadn't filtered it. I'm actually a little pissed, not that it would matter because they're going to stop tagging people back within 24 hours.
Slightly OT: I think the game should change its AC rules. Everyone is making posts and hardly anyone will actually keep a thread going for more than two days. Only one post and 15/30 comments, none of that two posts and you're good bullshit. I wouldn't even care if you could use the comments from your own post to count but goddamn people tag out and stop filtering posts like this.
Back OT: You're right. I don't mind the slice of life aspect and actually kind of love it, but I do love reading other people investigating and learning more about the world. Everyone's basically stuck in the city with nothing to do until the mods (aka Kisa because the co-mods' hands are tied) get off their asses and throw plot at us.
Maybe destroy the city. Or have a big plot where the city has the potential to be destroyed if not enough people sign up and actively help (not sign up and then not do anything).
The game can be saved, I think. Kisa just has to realize she has so little investment in the game that it needs to be passed on. That, or she needs to light a fire under her ass. It's disappointing to see this game fizzle when it had so much great potential because the head mod doesn't give two shits. And it the game closes and someone else tries to restart it? People will be so wary of the second game and I doubt it'd manage to take off.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)there are some fun aspects of the slice of life angle, I'll give you that. The idea of a city run by digimon is really cute and all. But there are so many slice of life games out there already. I joined because this is digimon. Digimon is pretty much synonymous with going forth and adventuring and finding things out about yourself. It's about camping in a shitty homemade tent in the wilderness and running into wild digimon that you have to fight off! It's about scrounging around for food and seeing things you've never seen before. It's not about getting a freaking part time job and arguing with your roomates over who ate your cupcake or some shit.
Like, even the events... mariocart is a cute idea and all... but it's not what I signed up for in a digimon game.
And even beyond that i am having such a difficult time finding people to actually tag. Because at least half the posts that are not filtered are just so clearly directed at just certain people they're really not even open at all! Tagging them becomes incredibly boring!
I am fully in favor of something destroying the city. i think that is THE best way to actually make this more interesting and truer to the source material.
We don't fucking need apartments, the original digidestined never had any and they came out fine. We don't need jobs because we SHOULD be spending time just, you know, saving the digital world or something?
