Is it possible to get an AIM chatroom for this game? Breaking the ice in a brand new game is hard, and Plurk isn't my strong point. :c

So this one's on top of my app-into list as soon as I can get my muse preferences sorted out. Tell me, playerbase:

1. Is the game good for slow taggers? I can be quite slow but backtag into infinity. Is that all right?

2. What kind of characters could you use more of?

1) I'm a forever-backtagger myself and kind of flipflop between speedy and only one or two tagbacks per thread a day depending on how busy I am, and it seems to work okay to me? That said, this is in fact a really plot-heavy game, so even if you're slower it would be best if you can still check in pretty often just to see what's going on. I've also found myself having to sit and re-remember where my character was at mentally/emotionally during X point in time due to various events, echoes, etc., but if you don't find stuff like that radically difficult and you're willing to work with other players just to make sure you're on the same page, everything should be fine.

2) So far the character population is super-diverse, so... honestly I have no idea on this myself. I've got this if it's of any help, but otherwise my thought is "ANYONE" at the moment. :D

Im curious how many Sci Fi characters there are in here.

I see a lot of fantastic fantasy characters from serieses that I absolutely adore but not too many Sci Fi people. Its really tempting me to app a badass-normal-lady type from one of my fandoms...

Soooo seven posts in less than three weeks from one person? Is that kosher and am I the only one side-eyeing it? It might be easier if we had a log comm or a policy on private contact posts so the main comm isn't so flooded. It's ok to post a lot but the main comm only allows 20 posts per page so newbies get their posts pushed down fast and they end up not getting tagged as much. Can we fix this?

I'd honestly rather not see a log comm unless it is only for private posts and open posts still go to the main comm. I dislike the whole in person posts on one comm and network posts on another because in person gets ignored then.

I think a better idea would be for players to have a post in their journals for that. A lot of games do a catch all contact post for private stuff to keep that off the main comms.

Alternatively, it can be set for the main comm to show more posts on the front page. That's something the mods should be able to do as far as I know and it would be in the settings for the layout.

the first suggestion sounds good. can the main comm be open posts only with another comm just for closed posts?

and yeah journal posts would be a good thing too.

the problem really isn't that there are not enough posts in the first page. if you pile enough posts on top of a post, it gets pushed down anyway and ends up less likely to be tagged.

The main community has been fixed to display more entries, so hopefully this'll be less of an issue now. Sorry if your post got pushed to the bottom too quickly as it definitely wasn't intended!

For now, we'll be keeping action/logs regulated to the same comm, but may change this in the future depending on player feedback and further discussion.

Hello! Anyone remember the "I kinda wanna play a pony" anon a few meme posts ago?

That was me. I'm seriously considering apping one now, especially since it looks like the game would welcome a few more girls, but I'm not sure whether I'd want her to start out as a normal pony, maybe gradually get memories and skills related to being a librarian/wizard/athlete/farmer/animal caretaker/tailor/baker/event planner, and, once the reincarnated figure out what the Echoes mean, assume that in a past life she wasn't a horse at all; or as a human who inevitably starts gradually turning into a horse.

Which would you guys rather see played out?

WELL. Both scenarios would definitely be interesting--we've got a ferret and a few robots-turned-humans, after all. Honestly I'd like to see a not-so-normal pony on the comm.

I like pretty much everyone I've interacted with so far, but I'm really enjoying Hajime Aikawa. i'm completely canon blind but the mun seems to have a good solid idea of where she's taking him and he has a pretty distinct voice too.

I'm interesting in applying, but there's a vagueness to the AC rules that gives me pause. What exactly is 'moderate' length?

I think the AC rules being vague are due to the game being new--right now the AC's just on a test run with the community and won't actually count for the first two months while we give feedback on how we feel about it. I honestly don't know what the head mod was going for with "moderate length," though, that's a good question.
