Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. It doesn't look like DW can handle 5,000 comment entries at the moment so please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.

...Yes, because forcing someone else OOC, someone who is willing to go out of their way to make things comfortable, just because you have a problem with the AU and character and don't want unexpected CR and flat-out say you will avoid anyone who would bring up the character? Is fucking douchey.

And, ooooh, HMDing. Except that they're not likely to listen, because the mun tried to go out of their way to get CR, remain IC and make everyone comfortable. She was bluntly told that, because Erik-mun hates the character, he wouldn't tag with her or any of her CR.

White knight harder.

Umm, I'm not sure what Plurk you read, but the one I read didn't play out that way.

Yes, Erik-mun said that they didn't want to play with the character because she just doesn't like Anya and didn't want to do the whole daddy drama again.

But when another mun came up and said they were worried about how it would affect their CR with Erik, Erik-mun said that they would be fine with the person interacting with Anya, they would just prefer their character not press the subject IC. They even went so far as to imply that they wouldn't take it personally if the other player didn't want to tag Erik because of this.

Maybe you should read the whole Plurk, not just the parts that fuel your rage-boner.

the thing is, the eric-mun didn't try to work with them AT ALL. I 100% agree that you shouldn't have to spend hours tagging something you don't enjoy, and being upfront is better.

HOWEVER.

You are in a community game, and that means, to an extent, playing well with others. if eric-mun had said "I don't like the AU, I've played this same plot line twice already in game, and don't want strong CR between them, so how can we hand wave this and work around it IC to minmize that, without forcing you OOC and settling things for everyone?" I would be behind you. The anya-mun was trying to work out things, and eric-mun just dug in their heels and refused. And THAT to me is the problem, not their lack of intrest in playing with anya.
